Inside the AsiaCalculator engine

To be able to efficiently help Buyers calculate the cost of their import project, AsiaCalculator relies on bespoke technology and selected partners :

1. Freight costs

AsiaCalculator automatically calculate freight costs, based on quotes from its exclusive Forwarders database.
Freight forwarders on AsiaCalculator are carefully selected and rated by AsiaCalculator and by Buyers themselves.
Buyers can decide either to check and use quotes from new Forwarders, or to invite and connect with their existing Forwarder(s).

2. Custom duties

AsiaCalculator has built an in-house engine that interprets real time data from international Customs, in order to provide Buyers with relevant info on Custom duties.
Buyers access a Custom Duties selector, and are guided through the browsing of product categories, to finally select the applicable duty.
The duty is then automatically applied to the current import costing file.

On AsiaCalculator, Buyers can switch between 6 currencies for their calculations (US$, Eur, HK$, GBP, CNY, JPY).
